Earlier this month, pupils from Hartford Infant and Preschool and Hartford Junior School brought festive joy to residents at Hunters Down Residential Home in Huntingdon. Thirteen children, representing every class across both schools, visited the care home to deliver handmade Christmas cards and colourful paper chains created by all pupils as part of the schools’ Christmas celebrations. Their thoughtful gesture was warmly received by the residents, helping to make them feel valued and connected during this special time of year.
Principal, Rae Lee shared her pride in the pupils’ efforts:
“Our school was privileged to spread some Christmas cheer and goodwill to Hunters Down residential home, and we hope the residents feel supported and appreciated. The children who delivered the cards and chains were wonderfully well-behaved and represented our school beautifully. We are so lucky to have such thoughtful and caring pupils!”
Congratulations to the Hartford Schools for making a meaningful difference in the community and reminding us all of the power of kindness this Christmas.
